2018 AUSTRALIAN MINIGOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS
Registrations are now open for the 2018 Australian Minigolf Championships being held on 27 October 2018 at Putt Putt Mermaid Beach.
It will be the first time the national championships have been sanctioned by the World Minigolf Sport Federation. Players from as far as Perth and New Zealand are expected to converge on the Gold Coast and compete for the 2018 titles as well as cash and prizes. Players will also leave the championships with an official Australian ranking for the first time.
Players can compete in one of three categories:
– Men’s Open Standard
– Women’s Open Standard
There are no qualifiers this year, but snap a picture of your score card and post it to Instagram and tag us @ausminigolf with the hashtag #2018ausminigolfchamps from any minigolf course and be into win a free entry into the event!
Where: Putt Putt Mermaid Beach
2492 Gold Coast Highway, Mermaid Beach, Gold Coast.
When: Saturday, 27 October 2018
Competition Start: 8:00am
Rounds: 3 rounds + 3 for the top players
Courses used: Jungle Trail & Water Ways
Open Standard (Men’s/Women’s) $48.56 per person
Youth $43.29 per person
Tickets are available via Eventbrite until 6:00pm, 26 October 2018.
- You are welcome to bring your own golf putter or simply use one from the course.
- Only golf balls or minigolf balls are permitted.
- Hit within the marked tee-off area at the start of each hole.
- Maximum strokes per hole is 7.
- If a ball exits the lane, it can be placed at the point of exit without a penalty stroke.
- The ball may be moved one official score-card length away from the edge.
Officials will be on-hand to adjudicate and assist with any issues or questions. Any cheating will be dealt with severely.
We are also inviting organisations and individuals to Sponsor-a-hole, for a small fee we will offer online advertising through our channels and you can dress one or more of the 36 holes with your brand.
